The Office of Research & Development
The main goal of the Office of Research and Development at DYU is to integrate human resources, equipments, teaching and research among different departments in the university, and to amend and integrate the intermediate- and long-term University development projects. Moreover, the Office of Research and Development also encourages teachers to join local, national and international academic research projects, it also serves as a liaison between academic and industry to initiate different kinds of science research, design and management service projects from the government or non-governmental sectors.
Currently, under the Office of Research and Development are the Division of Academic Research, the Division of Industry Liaison,  and Center for Innovation and Incubation, Two professors concurrently serve to be the acting director and the acting director in the Office of Research and Development and four heads set up in different divisions and center. They are dedicated to their respective responsibilities and to serve the related occupational activities with research and developments.
 
  
■ Division of Academic Research
1. To assist in the planning of the intermediate and long-term development plans in academic research.
2. To deal with affairs related to evaluation on academic performance and strategy planning to improve results of learning and teaching.
3. To institute related incentive for encouraging teachers to devote to academic excellence.
 
■ Division of Industry Liaison
1. To assist in the planning of the medium and long-term development in industry liaison.
2. To deal with affairs related to academic-industrial collaboration.
3. To institute the related incentives for encouraging teachers to execute research proposals.
 
■ Center for Innovation and Incubation
1.      To offer technical consultation, counselling, and assistance in developing new products for cooperated companies.
2.      To promote skill transfer and patent authorization for the faculty and students.
